1. About this policy
Ascend Models (“Ascend”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information received through this website, casting and booking inquiries, and model applications in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
2. Information we collect
Inquiry information: your name, company, email address, telephone number, address, selected models, model notes and message.
Model application information: your legal and preferred public names, contact details, date of birth, nationality, current location, gender, height and other measurements, languages, skills and experience, representation, eligibility to work in Japan, guardian details where needed, and application photographs.
Consent and operational information: submission language and time, the version of the wording accepted, reference number, review or response status, and operational records made by authorized staff.
Technical information: an IP-address-derived identifier used temporarily to prevent abuse, request information, error and security logs, and identifiers for features such as favourites that are stored on your device.
3. How we use information
To answer inquiries, check model availability, support casting, prepare estimates, arrange bookings and communicate about those activities.
To receive model applications, verify identity and relevant work conditions, assess applications and communicate with applicants.
If representation is separately agreed, to manage talent, prepare profiles and coordinate assignments.
To detect and prevent abuse, duplicate submissions and security incidents, maintain the service and diagnose faults.
To comply with legal obligations, prevent or address disputes, and protect our rights and safety.
4. Sharing and service providers
We do not disclose personal data to third parties unless you consent, disclosure is permitted or required by law, it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property, or a provider processes it on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and data-handling terms.
5. Security
We use reasonable organizational, personnel, physical and technical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access to, or loss, destruction, alteration or disclosure of, personal data. These include restricted permissions, authentication, separation of public media from private application photographs, input validation, privacy-conscious logging and backups.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute handling and legitimate operational needs, then securely delete or anonymize it.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may be entitled to ask us to notify you of a purpose of use; disclose personal data or third-party provision records; correct, add to or delete inaccurate data; stop use or erase data; or stop disclosure to third parties. We may verify your identity and may decline all or part of a request where the law permits or requires us to do so.
8. Minors
For a model application by a minor, we may require guardian details and consent as appropriate. Guardians should review this policy and the application with the applicant in a way suitable for the applicant’s level of understanding.
9. Device storage and external services
The site uses local storage and session storage, which are similar to cookies, to remember favourites and models selected for an inquiry on your device. The About page also displays an embedded Google Maps view. See our Cookie policy for details. Third-party sites and services are governed by their providers’ own terms and privacy policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, services or applicable law change. We will present material changes clearly on the site and revise the “Last updated” date above.
